2009 Vacation Dolphin Cruise and Beach

On the last full day there we took a ride to see some dolphins. We rode for a while before we saw some but once we did, we followed them a while.

2009 Vacation USS Alabama

Steve, Caden, and I took a half day trip down to see the USS Alabama. It was pretty cool. I figured Caden would start complaining pretty quick but I think he lasted longer than us. He loved it. It was mighty hot and you get a pretty good workout just walking up and down all the ladders and all in this ship and the submarine. Here is a little more about the ship if you are interested. 2009 Vacation On the Beach

Here are a few pictures of different days at the beach. The kids caught jelly fish, other fish, and crabs all week with some other kids they met from Georgia. Caden let me bury him in the sand which is a few of these pictures and one of him with his hand on his fist and he said he was the Thinker! Natalie was too busy catching things all week to do much playing in the sand.

2009 Vacation Graceland

Day 2 of our vacation took us to Graceland and Caden was happy! This was the whole reason to go to Memphis. I had never been either and we really enjoyed it. Click on the picture above to see a bunch of pictures of our three hour visit.

2009 Vacation Tennessee Zoo

After Graceland we made it to Corky's for some world famous BBQ, and it was good! After that we headed to the Tennessee Zoo. Mighty hot walking around the zoo for one thing but personally I don't think it was anything special about the zoo but it was ok. 2009 Vacation Mud Island in Tennessee

We left Saturday on our 2009 Vacation and headed to Memphis, Tennessee. We plan on staying in Memphis for two nights and made it to this place called Mud Island the first day. I think it is supposed to be a miniature representation of the Mississippi River and where all it goes. I guess it was pretty neat. The kids had fun and said they wouldn't get wet! BlueBerry Hill 2009

I think we are turning this into a family tradition. We made our trip to Blueberry Hill again. Had a little fun and picked a bunch of blueberries. Had some kind of cobbler tonight and I think it's blueberry pancakes for breakfast tomorrow morning! Click on the picture above to see a couple more pics.

Wal-Mart Party

Mama invited us to bring the kids to a Wal-Mart party the other day and they had so much chicken when we got there, I just had to stay a while! We ended up having some fun. Click on the picture above to see a few more pictures. The kids played a few games and a few of us got to spit watermelon seeds. Natalie was the champion spitter!
