I haven't had any Caden Quotes on here in a while because I would be on here every day if I put everything he says strange or funny!

After the Minden High and Benton High football game last night we stopped by Chili's for a late supper. I asked Caden when he was going to start liking football so he could start watching it with me. He said he didn't know. Stephanie said maybe he wanted to be one of the cheerleaders and Caden looked at us real mean. Right after that he said, "I know what I'm going to be." And I asked what. He said, "I'm going to be a boyfriend of one of the cheerleaders!".

Am I teaching him well or what?!

I heard a bunch of statistics leading up to this election and while some of them may sound funny, they are really sad. Here is one I heard something about. Well, this dang presidential race is finally over at least! I don't like the way it turned out but it's over. I never was too excited about the side I even voted for but still think it was the better of the two sides. Oh well...

The night before election day someone called me and said some of the guys that he worked with said there was no need in voting because the news already said that Obama already won it because he already had enough votes from the electoral college. Well, that was the day before so it had to just be 'good guesses' by the media. I'm sure they would do their best to guess right and not use this to persuade voters but obviously it does or this guy wouldn't be saying this.

Who knows what the best way is to elect a president as I'm sure there are good reasons to do it a few different ways and this may be an argument like the best way to decide who the number one college football team is in the country, bowls or a playoff! Natalie tried out for two different new things at school this year. Honor choir and the robotics team. She made both. Here are a couple of newspaper clippings of the new robotics team and Natalie made it in both papers, the Shreveport and Bossier papers. Looks like she may be a little geeky like her Dad!

Emma Birthday and South LA Trip

We made a trip down south a couple of weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to posting pictures. Emma turned one and we went down for the party and to stay the weekend. There are also couple of Steve trying to figure out how to maybe dig up some plants on the side of the road on the way home. The things us men do to try to keep these women happy!

We went to the races but they were so fast, we missed them! Daddy, Caden, and I went out to the Red River Raceway a few days ago on a Friday night to catch some early races but they shut down right before we got there. I think we had about as much fun just walking around where the folks were cleaning and working on their cars.

We got to see a lot of cars up close and a few of them spent a lot of time talking with us and letting Caden get in and around the cars. Caden walked around with us to begin with wanting to get in a car and we kept telling him to stay away since most of those folks are pretty picky.

We finally got up to this group of guys from down south Louisiana and were very nice guys and asked right off if Caden wanted to sit in a car. They had four cars I think. Caden's eyes lite up and getting to sit in a number of cars that night and grabbed helmets and was ready to go. Here are a couple of picture I took with my phone.
